Yeah, that’s a whole other can of worms that I’ll get into further sometime soon, but wow – there is some really grim stuff when you go down that rabbit hole, as you probably noticed when you read my short piece on it. I have spent a fair bit of time in online communities with people who have parasocial relationships with AI, and I will probably always carry some degree of trauma from those experiences. Having said that, I would never completely abandon those communities because someone has to bear witness.
