The Russian Origins of Tulsi Gabbard’s ‘Biolabs’ Documents

The supposedly “never before seen” documents actually have been seen before — in a 2022 Russian disinformation campaign.

Outgoing Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard released intelligence documents recently that she claims show evidence of U.S. involvement in funding dangerous gain of function research on infectious pathogens at laboratories in Ukraine, but a look at the origin of these documents raises some disturbing questions about what exactly Gabbard is trying to do here.

In an X post announcing the release, Gabbard said the documents contain “never before seen” US intelligence — but the problem is, that intelligence has been seen before.

Specifically, some of the slides Gabbard released have been seen previously in a Russian disinformation campaign.
